Riandri Visser joined Cape Point Vineyards in 2014 as a young Assistant Winemaker to Duncan Savage after graduating with a degree in B.Agric (Cellar Technology), Viticulture and Enology in 2012 from Stellenbosch's Elsenberg Agricultural College and gaining two years of experience at Tierhoek and Tokara wineries. She took over as winemaker in 2016 and since then has led Cape Point with her hands-on approach. Riandri is particularly devoted to Sauvignon Blanc, which along with Semillon thrives in the vineyard's ancient granite soils. During her first standalone vintage she applied her philosophy to the winery's award-winning flagship Isliedh white wine, adapting both the blend and winemaking style, garnishing both respect and awards in the process. With her sister Anzette keeping an eye on Cape Point, having joined the winemaking team in 2021, Riandri has partially relocated to the Loire with her partner Clément Jolivet at Domaine Les Ormousseaux.
